AFTER

An international client asked us to transform their newly purchased 1970’s rustic ski cottage into a contemporary mountain chalet. The existing house, with its introverted expression and characterless exterior finishes, felt isolated from its alpine setting. To connect the house to its surroundings we used expansive walls of glass and natural materials that appear to have been gathered from the immediate landscape. The transformation resulted in a warm chalet-influenced modern retreat where our clients reconnect with nature.
